Grooming Report 1/3/22

Grooming was completed on the NST2 and SS4 in the early hours this morning. Extra time was spent on the NST2 to plow in the sides to fill the shallow middle. Because of previous checks on the swamp of SS4, I was able to pull straight through from Otter Creek to the NST2. Both ends are in good condition, the swamp area is rough and certainly can use some snow. The rocky areas of SS4 still remain rough east of HWY 8. I also went on the north side of SS5 from HWY 8 to the C Store. Otter Creek and Spring Pond Rds are plowed for logging operations on Spring Pond but snowmobiles are running along the sides. There is no way I can create a trail on the side because of the ditches and limited space. The route to the C Store has some good sections but there are also some rocky areas to be cautious around.
