Armstrong Creek Update 1/8/20

Post by CHOPPER 3 »

With a lack of snow so far this season and temps at night staying fairly cold , the swamps in the Armstrong Creek area have froze up better than most recent years . We were able to cross the swamp south of Armstrong on Tuesday with minimal issues . The long cedar swamp west of Armstrong near the Gordon and Laura lakes was also passed with our equipment and is in good shape . While we patiently wait for snow , we've been doing some signing and light maintenance on our equipment . We are about due for the weather man to get it wrong anytime now 😂 . Keep doing the snow dance and check back for updates.

Both Accu Weather and Weather Channel long range forcasts do not look good for snow. Neither one show much of any snow for the next 2 weeks and surprisingly both of them have been pretty accurate this winter. Yes hopefully the weatherman is wrong , guess we have been spoiled with all the snow the last few winters!!

I agree , it's something we aren't used to in recent years , but I can remember years with low snow totals . Us Forest County groomer drivers don't usually get a weekend off in January !! It's gotta show up sooner or later .
