Awesome video as always. Looks like you guys were out after the 1 inch of snow or so yesterday. Honest assessment of trails, base, and if you could ride a few decent loops up there? Not looking for good but marginal conditions where you can get around some? See that Florence is grooming, so thinking about heading from say Laona north, east, ??? Think it can be done? Thanks!

This is what I would ride, coming from Johnnies:

SS4 --> SS2 --> SS1 --> SS6 --> LMT8 --> SS3 --> SS5

When SS4 intersects with NST2 (railroad grade), would you stay on SS4 through Cavour or take NST2 (railroad grade) north to SS2 bypassing Cavour? In other words, is it better to take the railroad grade around Cavour or take the trails through Cavour?

I couldn't tell you for sure,
because I do not know the conditions of either.

I also changed my route to use SS5
as the last leg instead of SS3.

But I suppose you could use either.

Actually, I think you have to still use
SS3 to get to SS5 so here is my final route:

SS4 --> SS2 --> SS1 --> SS6 --> LMT8 --> SS3 --> SS5

If I had to guess... I'd say avoid the NST. :shrug:
I will put a call into a buddy that might know,
and see what he says...

Cavour is rumored to have more shade.
I'm not sure if Mudslingers is open,
they may be on vacation.
Ride safe!
