I seem to vaguely recall looking into it a few years back ... don't they require you to be a lodge guest and/or to also return the sleds at the end of each day? Particularly inconvenient arrangements ....
I seemed to recall reading something similar on their website the other day, when I was checking it out.
Cosmetically, it looked like hell, and didn't have too much get up and go - but it did run trouble free the whole 500 mile weekend...)
One of my favorite attributes: Trouble Free!

Yeah, he did enjoy the trouble free ride ... just enough to continue to beg/borrow sleds for a weekend each season since - but not yet quite enough to buy his own.

A wise uncle of mine (also a fellow sledder) once said "If you have to borrow something more than 3 times, it's time to buy your own!"

Three Lakes area rental. I think some will deliver to your cabin.

Thanks Johnnie - some good choices in Three Lakes ... and I'd never thought of the delivery angle. With that, I did a different web-search, and came up with this active one, actually based in Appleton...

I'm only guessing, but they might actually work a bit more like a broker, relying on distributed dealers to provide the machines, as they claim they have sleds availabe anywhere in the state. A quick perusal of the FAQ's states that they will deliver to you anywhere in the state! (Though it doesn't say whether or not there is an additional cost for delivery and also doesn't specifically say they'll also pick-up ... but I'd at least hope that goes without saying!) None the less, even with a delivery fee, this could prove to be a viable option for someone not specifically going to the traditional rental hotbeds of Vilas or Iron Counties.

I would try Gary at MSM In Pearson. They have Skidoo GTX's.

He rents Snowmobiles/ATV's. I do believe he does delivery around the area.
