Armstrong Creek Update 2/9
Armstrong Creek Update 2/9
SS2 and the NST1 were groomed late yesterday and into the evening . An extreme amount of traffic came through our little towns this weekend and the trails deffinatley felt it . Possibly the most riders we have seen so far this season . These trails to our north are rated Good , but will take another tour with our equipment to get them back to where they were before the weekend . The trails south to Marinette county SS2, and the trail to Wabeno SS6 were finished up early this morning and are also rated Good . This particular combination of snow and temps creates an extra challenge for the Groomer drivers . The sugary consistency combined with cold temps does not allow the trail to setup like normal which makes for soft trails that are more difficult to manage. A few comments about riding manners from this past weekend from the "Snarky" groomer driver. Yes , there are a lot of riders out on the trails .. all the more reason to slow the fudge up - The lack of respect for other riders sharing the trail is mind bending. Never have I seen such a lack of respect for the trail system and that is sad . Most riders with 120" tracks realize this, and I believe this is a sport where you have to talk about leaving some trail for the next guy. However , Mountain Sled Jed can't hear the conversation because he's got his Ipod cranked up in his helmet just high enough to where he can still here his can . All that BRAAAAAAAAP turns the trails into CRAAAAAAAAP. Sunday Sermon over with, time for a NAAAAAAAAP.
