Crandon trail

The tracks are out and the old railroad grade from 8 to the Trolly Car shop is signed. It has not been approved as a trail yet but it will be groomed soon. Grooming was delayed due to a trailer and truck blocking the groomer from going through, they just moved them but plowed right down to the rock ...

WTMJ report

As a groomer I always see the spots where riders missed the turn or just plain ran off of the trail. Yesterday I counted 7 of these on a 12 mile section. Looks like the trees did a number on at least a few machines. People rideing to fast in center or wrong side are the biggest problem. Busting stop...

THANK YOU

If you have been following our LMT website you are aware we had a groomer breakdown last Thursday just after the big storm. The LMT would like to Thank both the 100 Miler and the Tombstone club for helping us out by grooming a few of our trails as we struggled to keep all of our trails groome...

Warning to all snowmobilers

Just spent the afternoon trying to go out for a ride and help pack down the trails. It was a mess. Got stuck three times in yard trying to get on the lake. Had to dig out each time. Once I got going downhill I couldn't steer or stop. Once on the lake couldn't let up or I would get stuck. Had to stee...

Roberts Lake area
Looking for a trail report. Will there be any snow left for the upcoming weekend? On the trails that is.
Rode the area trails early this am and most trails are fair to good. This is SPRING RIDING, wooded areas are thin and conditions can change in a matter of hours, fo...

website change
Jakerides, does LMT have a new website, other than www.lumberjacktrails.com? Perhaps the existing / old site is cached in my computer, but each time I access it I get the old site, and most times when I click the trail conditions / grooming schedule it states the page can...

week end meetings

I'm with the LMT and will raise the idea of weekend meetings at this Thursdays meeting, Finding a place open (a sponsor) on Saturday morning would be difficult. We moved our meeting from Tuesday to Thursday because no one was open. A good chance to meet with club members is Saturday afternoon on Jan...

not much

I was out yesterday doing some brushing. Bear spots where direct sunlight, some base left where trees helped block the sun. If we get 4" we could start panning again, trails would be rideable but rate as poor. Need about 8" to be able to groom. Lots of ruts to fill in.
