I put the mounting clip as far forward on my helmet's crown as I could, and still allow full opening of the shield. A one time, permanent installment. So, yes, I rely completely on the adjustable tilt pivot on the camera for forward/downward adjustment. It's a bit of a crapshoot, as I can't know if ...

In the spirit of tomorrow's election day, I vote "YES" for a great season with lots of snow. Totally agree that we are overdue, and just I have a good feeling that we'll get it!
Trails were very hard this weekend. They held up very good, hope the weathermen are wrong about this weeks warm up. Like they always are about getting the big storm!
We found great trails up in Minocqua, as wel!! As for the fearcasters, they are never right, and the erro...

I've got to say that it has been frustrating following the Accuweather forecasts for the snow predicted for tonight/tomorrow. Watched the totals slowly diminish to almost nothing throughout last week. Then, last night, it popped back into the forecast. Then, this morning - for a brief period - it wa...
I always tell friends the NE corner of WI is the best kept secret in snowmobiling. Great trails, scenery, grooming, & not as much traffic as the north central corridor along 51. As well as some great stops tucked away......
I agree ... and me and my posse will be up starting on Thursday, riding the good, the bad and the ugly. That said, I am reflecting on the irony of watching the east coast dig out from 2'+ of snow, while we sit here getting "excited" about a meager 2-4". Second straight season of survi...
Not sure if there is a spot in Townsend.
Fair question ... and now that I think about it (and despite the fact that I suggested it) I can't specifically recall parking in Townsend, either. Lakewood and Wabeno (and even Mountain) many times, but not Townsend.... Apologies ...

I'd second what Roger said .. .Wabeno (lot right behind Larry the Logroller). Easy lot to get in and out of. (Not sure if it is OK to park overnight, though....) Depending on what you are willing to put up with, you might also go only as far as Townsend. Red Arrow says the grade from there is in poo...

Hoping to head up to Mercer this coming weekend...if so, that will be the first ride of this season. The rooms are booked , and I am on a waiting list. If nothing opens up, the wife and I may consider the cottage instead, but conditions still sound pretty marginal. Iron Snowshoe says they are closed...
