A land owner pulled some land from that stretch. From what I heard, detour will be permanent this year and maybe longer unless they get the landowner to change his mind. Overall about a 15-17 mile increase in distance, since you have to head west, then north, then back east somewhat.

Depressed that there is minimal snow, and not much in the forecast, but what about the ice depth on area lakes? Anyone have any idea as to the depth in general? Realize all lakes are different, but curious as to what impact the recent weather has had and thickness if anyone know. Think snow!

Not a fan of the DNR at all and not going to comment about anything other than you running the road, but I need to agree with the 2nd post that Johnnie made. We have a place in the area and I have been riding that trail for the past 20 years and that road has always been abused by sledders and ATVer...

2 trips, and based on the weather and heavy volume of traffic, for the most part it was good. Cannot control the weather or the volume, but overall trails were very good. Keep up the good work.
