Re: Armstrong Creek Update 2/12

Hey wasn't looking at offending anyone, our family has been members of the 100 Mile Snow Safari for many years. But the reality is currently there are twice as many ATV's and UTV'S then snowmobiles registered in the state approx 470k versus 230k. The winters are getting warmer in fact this season is...

Re: Armstrong Creek Update 2/12

Up to 3/4" of rain coming Tuesday night, Thursdays snow moving South and a warm up next week again it might be a short year. With ATV's allowed on trails in neighboring counties you are bound to get a few lost into Forest County. Any State Funded trail I believe they are allowed anyway. Almost ...

Re: Armstrong Creek Update 2/22/21

Hard to believe that the SS2 could be back to Good to Very Good condition. That section was pretty good Friday morning but was beaten to a snirt and gravely mess in many areas by midafternoon last Friday. There just is no base and upper 30's tomorrow and again Saturday sure isn't going to help any a...

Re: Armstrong Creek Update 1/8/20

Both Accu Weather and Weather Channel long range forcasts do not look good for snow. Neither one show much of any snow for the next 2 weeks and surprisingly both of them have been pretty accurate this winter. Yes hopefully the weatherman is wrong , guess we have been spoiled with all the snow the la...

The idiots that did this also rode through the woods to the land owners cabin and rode around his cabin a couple times and then up and down his driveway. So I think that is what he is pi**ed about and I don't blame him one bit. Now with the reroute down Chitko there's a homeowner there that I know i...

Sunny and upper 30's and low 40's Friday and Saturday so I don't think there will be a plan for awhile.

I wouldn't get your hopes up to much. Was reading the forecast discussion on NWS website and rain line seems to be moving further north on each model run. Marquette NWS said rain may be over the eastern 2/3rds of the UP. Hope not!!

Yes I agree lots of traffic, the trails were some good and some not so good with the traffic. Nice snow out there now but 40's by Friday again and maybe rain on Saturday. If there is lots of traffic this coming weekend which there probably will be, with those weather conditions the nice trails won't...

The trails are pretty nice now but the new snow was very light and fluffy. I am afraid that with partly cloudy on Friday and upper 30's predicted for both Friday and Saturday it certainly will not be good for the trails at all. Plus I am sure there will be a lot of traffic this weekend so who knows ...

Wow I can't believe how many riders were still riding Saturday in the bad trail conditions. It was something to see the machines going right through the muddy trails along the roads that didn't have any snow left at all. Anywhere the sun was beating down are really bad. I am sure winter is not over ...
