You are correct about the 4 clubs mentioned having the riding trails, but I will also add Chute Pond to the list. When I came from the north and got to the intersection 145 it was marked pretty good a few weeks ago, had an arrow to Wabeno and one to Crooked Lake. We took the trail from 143 up to 14...

We made it with no issues. Day 1 - Wabeno to Munising...first 150 miles were beautiful. No issues on the NST or through Crystal Falls. Miles 150-180 from Gwinn to Chatham was 30 miles of 2 foot moguls. The group in front of us lost $200 worth of oil that bounced off the sled and exploded on the trai...

Is it just ice and gravel or what? Just looking to keep the sled cool and I run scratchers most of the time. Good thing is we are coming up Sunday morning to run some investigation. An inch tonight/tomorrow and more snow on Saturday might be just in time and just enough. Would it be better to run LM...

Well even with the warm up last weekend and some light snow now in the forecast, I am still planning on riding this next Monday. Hopefully the NST and Crystal Falls area out to Sagola is still in decent shape. A couple inches of snow due before next Monday. I know trails will get better the further ...

I was wondering about the short cut, but based on all of the maps that I have they all showed something different. I've been through there before once but I could not remember where the NST comes into Trail 2. This will help. Thanks.

This is great info and I knew I would be able to get it here. Thanks to everyone. I think the BP in Crystal Falls would be the easiest since we would be coming from the west. If I recall, it is a side spur trail that comes in from the north side behind the building. I see if I don't eat breakfast in...

Wabeno to Munisig

I am riding Wabeno to Munising on Monday 2/5. My planned route is the NST up to Iron River then over to Crystal Falls. This part I am familiar with. The part I am concerned about is going east from Crystel Falls to Sagola. I just read that the Chippewa Sno Kats of Crystal Falls just groomed this tra...

I am scheduled to bring my dad up to Northern Oconto/Southern Forest on Wednesday 1/18 to ride for a couple of days. I am not sure how many more rides my dad will be up for (or around for) and this has been planned for a while. I agree riding on mashed potatoes is no fun and you get too sweaty anywa...

I don't think it is anywhere near 10 miles. It might be 5 but I get it...5 miles of plowed road mine as well be 10 right!!!. You might have to find loose snow or hit the banks every 100 yards or so, but it should at least be hardpacked to prevent carbide loss. Plus I don't think it gets plowed very ...
