Logging Near Nelligan

Logging near Nelligan: Is this area on trail SS2 about halfway between Intersections 35 and 50? Just wanted to be sure we knew where it is. A big thank you for letting us know about logging areas and seeping creeks. This has been a crazy winter! Hoping the Snow Gods are good to you this weekend into...

Good to know...but :frown:! Hoping for some snow and cold this week and not too much of a warmup as predicted for the weekend, so we can sneak up for a run next week.

Thanks much for explaining! We were hoping that with the tracks gone, the trail would now be on the old rr grade north of 8.

So, do I understand correctly?; We still need to ride on the trail next to Railroad Ave to go East or West on the north side of Crandon?

The Grade...State Trail 9 when it crosses Hwy 8

We have always avoided going thru Crandon as the trail ran thru town. Instead we always use the Otter Creek Rd. trail and stop to see Johnny to connect to trails in any direction. Several years ago, the grade stopped at Hwy 8 and the trail still went thru Crandon on Railroad Ave (if I remember corre...

Trails look great!

Thanks so much for the info on the trails and roads on SS1 and other trails. We plan on being up for a few days this week. Will be on the lookout for that water on SS1. Hopefully the cold will freeze it up again. Big thumbs up to all the groomers! We are lucky to have so many dedicated groomer drive...

Trails look great!

We were up a few weeks ago and the trails were GREAT! Even with the meltdown, the pictures of the trails still look great. Thank you to the groomer drivers!!! But with the meltdown and now freezing, just wondering how the road parts of trails are holding up....Specifically the 3-4 mile section on SS...

Thanks very much!!! We are glad to not have to cross that particular railroad track crossing! We will definitely stay on the marked trail and stay off that "not yet a trail" grade.
Thanks for all your Great Grooming year after year!!!

Corridor 9 -Trail north of hwy 8

Does the trail that runs north of hwy 8 thru Crandon still run on the side of Railroad Ave? If so, do you still have to cross over those nasty railroad tracks or have the tracks been removed? If the tracks have been removed, does the trail now run on the grade as it does south of hwy 8? Thanks for a...
